1. Who operates Socio
Socio is an early-stage software product operated by Anushil Ghosh Dastidar, an individual based in India (“Socio”, “we”, “us”). Socio is not currently a separate incorporated company. For privacy questions or requests, email hi@heysocio.co.in.
2. Information we collect
Socio account information
When you create a Socio account, we collect your name, email address, password hash, and account identifiers. If you use Google sign-in, Google provides the email address and basic profile information you choose to share.
Connected Instagram account information
When you choose to connect a Professional Instagram account, we receive its Instagram account ID, username, profile image URL, and an access token. The access token is encrypted before it is stored and is used only to provide the features you authorize.
Automation and comment data
To run an automation, we store its settings, selected post or Reel identifiers and metadata, keywords, message text, delivery records, and diagnostics. Comment webhook data can include a comment ID, the commenter’s Instagram-scoped ID and username, comment text, the relevant media ID, and event timestamps.
Technical information
We process limited server, security, and error logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot Socio.
3. How we use and share information
We use information to create and secure your workspace, connect the accounts you authorize, run and record your automations, send permitted private replies, prevent misuse, provide support, and maintain reliability. We do not sell personal information or use Instagram comment or conversation data for unrelated advertising.
We share information only when necessary to operate Socio: with Meta and Instagram through their official APIs; with Google if you use Google sign-in; with providers that host our database, storage, and application; or where required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, and security. Other Socio users cannot access your workspace or connected-account data.
4. Retention, security, and deletion
We retain account, connection, automation, and delivery data while your account is active and for the time reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted storage for Instagram access tokens. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
You can stop an automation at any time and revoke Socio’s access from Instagram’s settings. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your Socio account and associated Instagram data using the instructions on our Data Deletion page.
5. International processing, children, and changes
Socio’s providers may process data in countries other than your own. Socio is not directed to children and must not be used by anyone who is not old enough to enter a binding agreement where they live. We may update this policy as Socio changes; the revised version and effective date will appear here.
